The much-anticipated RTPI East of England Tournament returns for 2026, bringing together planning and built environment professionals for an evening of friendly competition, networking and team spirit. Kindly sponsored by Ceres Property LLP, this popular annual event offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues across the region in a relaxed, sociable setting. 

Teams will compete for a range of awards, including:

  • Best save

  • Best goal

  • Golden boot

  • Player of the tournament 

Tickets include:

  • Pre-match Lucozade/Water 

  • Winners' cup and finalist medals 

What you'll gain:

Teams should consist of 7-8 players working in planning or a related built environment profession. We welcome teams of all compositions, including all-male, all-female and mixed teams.

Getting to the venue

Goals Ipswich’s offices are located within the Suffolk New College site on College Drive, just off Grimwade Street in central Ipswich.

By train: Ipswich Station is around a 20–25‑minute walk away, while Derby Road Station is approximately 15 minutes on foot.

By bus: The venue is close to several bus routes serving Suffolk New College, including routes 114, 118, 15A, 64, and 70.

By car: You’ll find several car parks nearby, and the Suffolk New College site itself includes on‑site parking facilities.

By taxi: Taxis can drop you off directly on Grimwade Street, just a short distance—roughly 50–100 metres, from the entrance to the venue.

Before you set off, it's worth checking for any updates – e.g. ongoing roadworks in the area that might affect your journey.
