Planning reform hub

Find resources relating to the RTPI’s policy and public affairs activity.

Our mission is to advance the science and art of planning, working for the long-term common good and wellbeing of current and future generations. We actively promote the policy needs of the planning profession in the UK, Ireland and internationally. We do this though responding to consultations, producing policy positions and briefing papers, participating in the scrutiny of relevant legislation, and engaging with ministers, civil servants, stakeholders and decision-makers.

Legislation

The RTPI works closely with parliamentarians throughout the passage of legislation, supporting parliamentarians and their offices with briefings and proposed amendments. Read more about our current areas of work below.
