Understanding the Role of Transport Planners with the Kent Young Planners (Maidstone)
RTPI Kent Young Planners are holding an in-person CPD discussing the role of transport planners within the planning application process.
Adam Huckstepp and James Marsh, Associate Transport Planners at DHA Planning, will deliver a presentation highlighting the important role transport planning plays in both the identification of suitable development sites and the preparation of planning applications. The session will cover the assessment of site access requirements and parking standards across different uses.
What you'll gain:
Participants will gain a greater understanding of how transport considerations influence development outcomes.
Following the presentation there will be time for questions and some informal networking amongst other young planners.

Getting to the venue
By train: Maidstone East Rail Station is the closest station
By bus: There are a few buses to the venue
By car: Parking is limited at the venue, if possible, please park in Penenden Heath Public Car Park and walk to the venue.
By taxi: Taxis can drop you off near the venue .
Before you set off, it's worth checking for any updates – e.g. ongoing roadworks in the area that might affect your journey.
