Planning Aid National Network (PANN) lunchtime webinar: Planning with children and young people and elevating youth voice in planning
This lunchtime CPD webinar will bring together experts/practitioners in the field of planning with children and young people (CYP) to explore three related themes.
1 Understanding different lived experiences of place - setting the context for why and how CYP perceive and use spaces differently and why they should be included in planning.
2 Creative and inclusive engagement methods – showcasing practical tools and approaches for working with CYP.
3 From youth engagement into influence – demonstrating how youth feedback can shape planning outcomes (including statutory and non-statutory planning policies)
The webinar will include four speakers each of whom will present for around 15min, followed by approx. 30 minutes for discussion and questions, led by the chair.
Following the formation in 2025 of the Planning Aid National Network, which brings together all five UK planning organisations (Community Places (NI), Planning Aid England, Planning Aid for London, Planning Aid Scotland and Planning Aid Wales), this event is open and free to all UK planning aid volunteers as well as RTPI members.
