This event will look at the different elements of Plan-making from an update on new legislation, policy and case law; to how to produce policies that can deliver real social value; to how to deliver inclusive consultation that engages a diverse community; to providing practical guidance on getting ready for local plan examination. It will also consider how we can shape a new era of strategic planning and provide best practice approaches to working collaboratively.

This event is eligible for up to five hours of CPD and covers the following subjects from the core CPD framework:

  • Placemaking and design
  • Development and infrastructure planning
  • Planning law and process

Recommended for all planning professionals, whether that be local authorities, planning consultants, developers or builders.  

Getting to the venue:

• The venue is a very short walk away from Preston Station with regular trains from Carlisle, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool
• Car Parking is available at nearby Fishergate Car Park (PN1 8BN)
• The venue is accessible by taxi
