Join us for an in‑depth session exploring Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and the evolving landscape of public consultation in the UK planning system.
Whether you work in planning, infrastructure, local government, community engagement, or simply want to better understand how nationally significant projects are shaped, this session will equip you with practical knowledge and tools to navigate the consultation process with confidence.
What to expect:
This event will provide participants with a clear understanding of the NSIP process, the role of consultation at each stage, and the latest reforms shaping how communities, stakeholders, and developers engage.
What you'll gain:
Through a blend of expert input and practical examples, attendees will gain insight into:
- What NSIPs are and how the process works, including the six statutory stages from pre‑application through to decision
- How consultation fits into project development, including statutory and non‑statutory engagement
- Challenges and opportunities in consultation practice
- Best‑practice strategies for running effective NSIP consultations, risk reduction, and meaningful stakeholder engagement
