Outline of role
RTPI Cymru's Policy and Research Forum plays a key role in the work of RTPI Cymru, including:

Supporting the development of RTPI Cymru planning and related policy positions, including advising on responses to consultations;

Contributing to establishing RTPI Cymru positions;

Promoting the use of research, evidence and the good practice of planning across Wales.
Eligibility criteria
The Forum's membership comprises Corporate, Fellow and Associate RTPI members from across Wales, with a range of planning interests. We encourage applications from members from diverse backgrounds and sectors. Different experiences and views are essential for generating ideas and holding effective discussion.
Minimum time commitment

4 meetings a year in March, June, September and December, hybrid online and at the RTPI Cymru office in central Cardiff. Meetings are expected to last around 2 hours and tend to be scheduled from 11:00 to 13:00, and on the same day as the Executive Committee meetings

Much of the Forum’s work is carried out via email, with the majority of work taking place between meetings.
