Image of Emma

Emma is a Chartered Town Planner with over 25 years’ experience working across the public and private sectors in Wales. She is Founder and Director of Prospero Planning, established in 2012, which works exclusively with local planning authorities to provide flexible planning support in response to short- and longer-term resourcing pressures.

Emma is an active and committed member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. She has previously served on the RTPI Cymru Executive Committee, including as Chair in 2014, has acted as a judge for the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence at both Wales and UK level, and has served on the RTPI Membership and Ethics Committee. Emma is currently serving her third term as RTPI Cymru Nations Representative on the RTPI General Assembly, contributing to national discussions on professional standards, ethics and the future capacity of planning services.

She is passionate about planning and, in particular, about supporting planners themselves, recognising that wellbeing, professional confidence and resilience are vital in sustaining effective planning services in an increasingly stretched and under-resourced system.
