Brian is an Associate RTPI and Reader in Spatial Planning in the School of Geography and Planning, Cardiff University. Brian is currently the Director of Postgraduate Taught Studies in the School, overseeing Cardiff University’s seven accredited RTPI masters programmes. His research and teaching focus on Digital Planning, Regional Planning, Housing, and Governance. He has previously undertaken research for the Welsh Government in support of the National Development Framework/Future Wales, Strategic Development Plans, and integration of the Well-being of Future Generations Act into planning policy. He currently serves as a member of the Placemaking Wales Partnership and has previously served on RTPI Cymru’s Policy and Research Forum and RTPI’s Membership Panel.
