Commended - The East Riding Design Code by East Riding of Yorkshire Council

The East Riding Design Code will play an important in role in shaping future schemes and projects, making design expectations for applicants clearer from the start. Planners have listened to input from residents and stakeholders when developing the design code and they are wiling to further improve guidance through monitoring. The ERDC can be seen as a best practise example which will be helpful for other local authorities in preparing their respective codes.
