Sam is the Managing Director of IC Planning, a Planning consultancy established in 2021. The consultancy specialists in providing planning support for energy, mixed use, commercial, residential and minerals and waste projects nationwide. Sam has appeared as an expert planning witness at a number of high-profile minerals, energy and waste public inquiries. Sam has also provided a number of CPD events for the RTPI specifically in relation to mineral planning matters.

Andy is the Managing Director of AMA, bringing over 20 years of experience leading transportation and infrastructure teams across a wide range of development projects throughout the North and across the UK.

He has extensive expertise in supporting major, minor, and bespoke development schemes, guiding them from early-stage feasibility through the planning process and into successful delivery on site. 

Working alongside the talented team at AMA, Andy helps contractors, developers, and public sector clients deliver highways and engineering solutions that are both commercially viable and aligned with broader stakeholder ambitions.

Kamran is a Partner and jointly heads up the Planning Team at Ward Hadaway specialising in all areas of planning highways and compulsory purchase law covering both contentious and non-contentious matters. He is ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners as an expert in his field.

He jointly heads a large multi-disciplinary team of lawyers, chartered planners and technicians all of whom are focussed on addressing the planning and infrastructure needs of a broad client base.  Kamran is particularly experienced at balancing the interests of the private and public sectors, whether that is in relation to the provision of new housing, major infrastructure, regeneration projects or mixed use schemes.

Jan is RTPI President, a Fellow of the Royal Town Planning Institute (FRTPI).  Jan Chair’s the Global Planners Network and has been recognised as one of ‘the most influential women in UK planning’. She is immediate past Board Chair of the National Infrastructure Planning Association and is a member of the Building with Nature Expert Advisory Panel.

Jan is also a Strategic Planning Adviser at Pinsent Masons law firm and has significant experience of examining (former Examining Inspector at the Planning Inspectorate) and advising on a wide range of nationally significant infrastructure and major development projects across the full range of organisations and sectors including new settlements and urban regenerative extensions, energy, water and waste water, transport, business and commercial, ports and airports dealing with a wide range of issues from development consent orders, strategic plans, EIA, biodiversity, design, Water Framework Regulations, Habitats Regulations Assessment, community engagement and compulsory purchase.
