Free
20 October 2026 at 11:00 - 11:30

Whether you are just beginning your APC journey or approaching submission, this event provides an excellent opportunity to check that you are on track. It will also be highly beneficial for APC mentors, offering a valuable refresher and practical take away tips to support colleagues through the process.

What to expect

This in person event, organised by South Coast Young Planners Network (SCYPN), will deliver a comprehensive overview of the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) process. The session will be led by Neil Pearce, RTPI Membership Assessment Manager, who will cover the route to Chartered Membership, including the three components of the written submission, assessment outcomes, the support available from the RTPI, and key tips for success.

Neil will be joined by Ben Teague, RTPI SCYPN committee member, and a couple of recently chartered members who will speak about their experience of the Chartered process. The event will conclude with a panel discussion, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and gain practical advice.

Learning outcomes
