Outline of role
NAPE’s aim is to enhance and promote the role of planning enforcement within the planning profession. As a member of the Management Committee, you will help to campaign for planning enforcement issues, provide support for regional queries and assist in the organisation of the annual network conference. Eligibility criteria
• A current member of NAPE.
• Able and willing to devote time to the role.
• Currently employed within planning enforcement.
• Possess a strong commitment to planning and the RTPI’s strategic objectives and vision.
• Have a strategic and collegiate approach to working with other Management Committee members.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.

2 years (with the opportunity to re-apply if desired)
Impact of role
Planning enforcement officers provide a critical function at the sharp end of the planning system. The primary purpose of the network is to promote the role of enforcement within planning.
