What is Planning Aid Scotland and who is it for?

Planning Aid Scotland is a charity and social enterprise that helps people understand how planning works and how to have a say in the places around them. It supports communities, individuals, and local organisations, as well as students and early career professionals who want to build skills and get involved.

Planning Aid Scotland also runs training on all aspects of the planning system, from how decisions are made to how you can take part and make your voice count.

If you’re interested in volunteering, there are lots of ways to get involved. You can support the national Advice Service, work on community projects, and help with training and engagement.

Planning Aid Scotland volunteers also get access to mentoring, ongoing support, and CPD sessions, helping you build confidence, gain experience, and develop useful skills for your future career.
