Following the completion of her MSc in Spatial Planning at University College London, Ilaria joined Stantec's Reading office as a Graduate Planner in September 2023 and is currently working towards RTPI chartership. An earlier BA degree in Archaeology inspired an interest in changing land use, especially the ways in which the built environment can be reshaped to improve wellbeing in communities.

Since then, Ilaria has been involved in a range of mixed-use, residential, later living and strategic land promotion work across the Thames Valley and wider region.

She joined the TVYP committee in August 2024 and is passionate about giving young planners the opportunity to connect to contribute towards the future growth of the planning industry.

Amelia graduated in MA Urban Planning from the University of Dundee in 2021 and then worked for Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils as a Planning Officer. Since October 2024, Amelia is a Planner within the Central Planning Team at Savills and is currently working towards RTPI accreditation. She co-founded HerCollective in 2021, which was created to facilitate the exploration of architecture, urban planning, and design with a gender lens. This has involved design projects, research, and teaching to both encourage and advocate for inclusivity within the built environment.

Amelia has been involved in a range of projects and planning decisions including residential, renewable energy, mixed-use and commercial as well as research and consultancy work on inclusive design. She joined the TVYP committee in January 2025 and is determined to give Young Planners the chance to broaden their experience through CPD workshops and networking opportunities.

Olivia is a Principal Consultant at Evoke Transport, based in the company’s Reading Office.

Olivia is involve a range of projects across the Thames Valley, including town centre schemes and rural developments. She joined the industry in 2018 and therefore has extensive experience in the transport planning industry, working in all sectors, predominantly residential, commercial and education schemes.

Olivia joined the committee in January 2024 and is looking forward to helping to organise events to connect young planners across the region.

Sara joined David Lock Associates as an Assistant Planner in 2023, after completing her Masters degree in Planning at the University of Manchester.

Sara has been involved in a range of projects including strategic scale research and development campuses, residential, and commercial schemes across the Oxford to Cambridge Corridor.

She joined the TVYPN committee in August 2024 and is eager to deliver a variety of events for young planners in the region to connect.

Rainie is an Assistant Planner at David Lock Associates based in Milton Keynes since 2023, following her graduation from master’s degree in Urban Design and Planning at University of Sheffield. 

Rainie has experiences involving in a wide range of residential and commercial projects in England, especially across the Thames Valley Region. She is currently working towards her RTPI Chartership. 

She joined the committee in August 2024 and is looking forward to connect the young planners across the region by organising different networking and CPD events.

Max graduated with an MSc in Spatial Planning from Oxford Brookes University in 2019. He then joined South Oxfordshire District Council as part of the Development Management Team, where he acquired his RTPI chartership, before moving to Nexus Planning in 2023.  

Since joining Nexus, Max has been involved in a diverse range of projects across the Thames Valley and the South East, including strategic mixed-use developments as well as bespoke residential, commercial and education-led schemes.

Max joined the TVYP Committee in January 2026 and looks forward to organising events, championing the profession, and connecting young planners across the region.

Amy is a Graduate Planner in the Central Planning Team at Savills. She completed her part-time MA in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Westminster in September 2025, undertaking her studies alongside her role at Savills, and is currently working towards RTPI Chartership in 2026.

Amy previously graduated with a BA in Geography, where she developed a strong interest in the relationship between people, place, spaces, policy and development. She works across a diverse portfolio of projects including residential schemes, strategic land promotion, and employment and logistics developments throughout the Thames Valley and wider region.

Amy joined the Thames Valley Young Planners (TVYP) Committee in September 2025 and is passionate about creating opportunities for young planners to connect, collaborate and contribute meaningfully to the future of the profession.

Shruti holds an MSc in Urban Regeneration and Development from the University of Manchester. Her academic and professional experience spans interior design, architecture, sustainability and planning.

Shruti is currently working alongside a regional developer on town centre residential and mixed-use schemes, supporting planning strategy and appraisals, and managing the discharge of planning conditions. Her role involves policy analysis, site and heritage assessment, coordinating consultant inputs and preparing planning submissions. Her work focuses on aligning policy requirements, site constraints and viability considerations to support deliverable development proposals.

Shruti joined the committee in February 2026 and is determined to support initiatives that promote engagement and professional development opportunities for young planners across the region.

After completing a Masters in Spatial Planning and Development, Mariam joined Lichfields Thames Valley office as Planner. 

Mariam assists with research for monitoring and site promotion. She also works with multidisciplinary teams to prepare and submit planning applications for residential development and the industry and logistics sector. 

Mariam joined the TVYP committee in June 2026 and is eager to get involved with organising opportunities for young planners to make meaningful professional connections.
