Sophie is a Senior Planning Consultant at Mott MacDonald. In her day-to-day role Sophie works on large infrastructure projects for a range of clients, including the NHS, Thames Water and the Department for Education. Sophie is passionate about the social outcomes delivered through infrastructure projects and the development opportunities that they can unlock. For the past 2-years Sophie has been the CPD lead for the London Young Planners Committee. This involves arranging CPD events to allow Young Planners to further their knowledge and build a network early on in their career. Sophie had also played a key part in organising the 2025 Young Planners’ Conference. Sophie will be taking over from Harry Bailey as Chair of the Young Planners Committee in 2026 to continue the fantastic work of the committee in 2025.

Isabelle is a Socio-Economic Planner at Marrons, having joined the company in 2024 from Citisense, where she worked as a Graduate Consultant in the Transport sector. She graduated from Swansea University with a BA (Hons) in Geography, followed by a master’s degree in Spatial Planning from Oxford Brookes University in 2022. Since joining Marrons, Isabelle has contributed to a wide range of projects, with a particular interest in education, healthcare and strategic planning. In 2026, she joined the RTPI London Young Planners Committee and is currently working towards achieving MRTPI accreditation.

Kathryn McAllister is a Principal Planner with 6 years of experience in the public and private sector. Kathryn started her career in development management and has recently moved to consultancy. She also has international experience having spent a year in Sydney, Australia working for NSW State Government.

Fran began her career in planning in 2018 and has since gained over 7 years of experience working in Local Authority Planning. She is currently a Principal Planner at Tower Hamlets Council, having previously worked at Barnet Council. Throughout her career in the public sector, Fran has gained valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities faced by urban areas, developing a deep understanding of the complexities involved in urban development.

In 2021, Fran became a Chartered Town Planner after completing the RTPI Apprenticeship program as part of its first cohort. She is passionate about advocating for the interests of young planners within the RTPI and is committed to supporting the growth and development of the next generation of planning professionals.
