The Elephant: regeneration tour
Join us to explore how urban regeneration is shaping south London through a guided walking tour followed by Q&A. Participants will gain insight into the area’s redevelopment and the wider impacts of planning and investment on local communities and the built environment. This session will also highlight the role of Get Living and Delancey in delivering The Elephant.
PPE is required for this part of the visit. If you have your own site boots, please bring them. If you need boots provided, please let us know your shoe size when you are contacted about the visit, along with your preferred PPE jacket size (S/M/L/XL). Please let me know as soon as possible emily.russell@rtpi.org.uk
What to expect:
-
Explore the transformation of The Elephant and its role in reshaping South London’s urban landscape.
- Learn more about how regeneration projects balance community needs with city development.
- The tour will include going up to the top floor of one of the towers so you can take in the full development and its wider context from above. We’ll also be going inside key parts of the scheme, including the future cinema space, a range of retail areas, and some of the apartments.
