Join the East of England Young Planners for an evening of SUP and Sip, featuring paddleboarding or kayaking alongside pizza and a drink (Prosecco, beer, or a soft option). This social event offers a great opportunity to meet like-minded professionals in the planning and built environment sector, all while enjoying a relaxed summer evening by the river.
What to expect:
No experience is required, just come along and get involved. Your choice of paddleboard or kayak will be provided, along with a buoyancy aid and a complimentary dry bag. You’re also welcome to bring your own board; however, please note that no discount is available on the ticket price.
Getting to the venue
Constable Park is located in Brantham, Suffolk, set along the River Stour in a scenic rural setting.
By train: The nearest station is Manningtree. The venue is approximately a 10-minute taxi ride, or around a 23 minute walk on foot from the station, depending on your pace and route.
By bus: Local services serving the Bradfield area include routes such as the 91 and 92 (operated by Ipswich Buses), which connect Ipswich, Manningtree, and surrounding villages. Services can be limited, particularly in the evening, so please check timetables and routes in advance.
By car: There is free parking available on-site at Constable Park. Please follow event signage on arrival.
By taxi: Taxis can drop you directly at the venue entrance.
Before you set off, it's worth checking for any updates – e.g. ongoing roadworks in the area that might affect your journey.
