Join us for our annual Summer members reception and award ceremony.

What to expect:

Joined by our RTPI President Jan Bessell, this networking and social event will be open to all members and will be a multi celebration day.

We will celebrate new Chartered members in the region including new Fellows, Associate and Honorary members and congratulate them on this important and valuable milestone in their career.

We will also showcase our RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence 2026 finalists in the South West and announce the winners of the Best Project, Best Plan, Small Consultancy of the Year, Planning Authority of the Year, Young Planner of the Year, Best in Region and of course the RTPI South West Chairs Unsung Planning Hero Award for 2026 chosen by Harry Quartermain

We will also thank all our local RTPI Volunteers who are involved with a range of RTPI projects and initiatives such as our Judges, Young Planner steering groups, Planning Aid Volunteers, RTPI Committees and so much more. 

We look forward to you joining us to learn, celebrate, and network in an inspiring setting where passion for shaping our environment and communities leads to success.  

Dress code: We want you to feel fabulous and totally yourself, so bring your personal style and let it shine through as you get ready to celebrate with us!

New Chartered, Associate, Fellow and Honorary Members since January 2025 will all receive an email invitation or can book via the booking link below and selecting 'new member'. 

RTPI volunteers if you would like to join the celebrations and attend this event then please book via the online booking link below and select 'volunteer'

RTPI Awards entrants and their guests, please await instructions. 

Other members and professionals interested in joining the celebration, please book a 'guest' ticket.

Getting to the venue

Please view travel information here.

By car: There is parking available on site

By train: Sandy Park has two rail stations in close proximity, both on the Avocet Line between Exeter and Exmouth. Travellers to and from Exeter are advised to alight at Digby & Sowton, whereas those travelling to or from Exmouth should use Newcourt

Access and inclusion

  • The meeting and catering takes place on  the first floor. There is lift access.

  • A quiet room  are available during the event should you require this.

Tickets

We offer free tickets for carers and have a limited number of free or discounted tickets for those working in the public sector, students and those on low income/unemployed. Contact us to check availability.

Food and refreshments

We'll provide refreshments and light snacks. We can also offer vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options (pre booking) too, and we're happy to cater for other dietary requirements like Kosher or Halal meals – just let Charlotte.Daborn@rtpi.org.uk know.
