Walking tour of arising development in Liverpool taking into consideration climate change and their coastal locations. This includes 2 tours beginning at Liverpool Waters, and Wirral Waters exploring how the development has incorporated sustainable designs and features.

Programme

10.00 am          Arrival and registration

10.15 am          Welcome - A brief welcome to and overview of Liverpool Waters, looking at some of the benefits and opportunities the scheme brings to Liverpool and the North West, but also some of the barriers / constraints / challenges it faces.

10.45 am          Tour of the site led by Ian Ford from Arup at Liverpool Waters, and Chris Capes from Peel.

12.00 pm          Lunch / travel to Wirral Waters

1.00-3.00 pm    Tour of Wirral Waters site led by Richard Mawdsley from Peel.

The meeting point is only a short walk from Liverpool Central and Lime Street train stations.  Parking is available at Princes Dock Multistory car park, 4 William Jessop Way, Liverpool, L3 1DL.
