As we continue to celebrate PRIDE, we are delighted to bring you this engaging panel discussion in collaboration with ARUP. Join us as we explore the relationship between LGBTQ+ communities and the built environment. Together, we will discover the crucial role that planners can play in creating inclusive, welcoming, and hospitable environments for all members of our diverse communities.

In 2023, ARUP and the University of Westminster released a groundbreaking report titled "Queering Public Space." This report sheds light on the emergence of queer enclaves in various cities but also highlights the need to go beyond the concept of "gaybourhoods" and strive towards developing truly inclusive neighbourhoods.

We are privileged to have the authors of this report, Professor Pippa Catterall from the University of Westminster and Mei-Yee Man Oram, the Queering Public Space Project Supervisor, joining us for this discussion.

They will be joined by Simeon Shtebunaev, the RTPI Young Planner of the Year 2023 and Luke Ives, the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Manager at ARUP and Vice-Chair of Trustees for The Proud Trust, sharing valuable insights from their experience and expertise.

Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of this enlightening discussion.
