Shaun Andrews
Director of UK Planning Strategy at Prior and Partners
Shaun Andrews is a highly regarded urban planner and Director at Prior + Partners, where he
leads the Strategic Planning Group (SPG). The SPG recently published the landmark report “Planning Positively for the Future,” which marks the culmination of an intensive programme of work and sets out clear recommendations for embedding Spatial Development Strategies (SDSs) at the heart of a reformed, plan-led system. Shaun and colleagues are currently advising councils on the next era of strategic planning, ensuring these strategies are highly strategic, digitally enabled, and focused on planning for much-needed homes, jobs, infrastructure, and health equality https://www.priorandpartners.com/spg-recommendations-published
He draws on his extensive experience in both the private and public sectors, holding roles in local authorities, government departments, development corporations, and leading consultancies. His expertise spans complex regeneration projects and new communities, formulating strategic planning documents, and masterplans that help shape the future of neighbourhoods and urban centres.
In addition to his strategic planning work, Shaun leads the Applied Healthy Placeshaping capability at Prior + Partners and is passionate about championing built environment principles and practices that prioritise the creation of healthy communities and places. He is a co-author of:
