Dr Alistair Ford

Alistair is a senior lecturer in Geospatial Data Analytics and a School X Climate Change Fellow at
Newcastle University. He leads the development of the Integrated Modelling Framework component of the UK national hub for Decarbonised, Adaptable, and Resilient transport infrastructure (DARe). Dr Ford is also a Co-Investigator on the NERC Land-Use for Net Zero project OpenLAND, and is the theme co-lead for the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research’s ‘Catalysing Adaptation and Resilience’ theme. Alistair’s research focusses on the use of geospatial models and analytical techniques to explore sustainability challenges in the land-use and transport system, particularly with a view to ensuring future climate resilience under decarbonisation.
