Richard Dunning

Richard Dunning is Professor of Land Economy and Housing at the University of Liverpool. Richard trained as a surveyor, working for a short time on industrial properties across the North of England. His research focuses on affordable housing need and developer contributions, but often straddles disciplinary boundaries, recently working on nature-based solutions. He was the Special Advisor to the House of Commons select committee inquiry on Land Value Capture. He currently sits on the REF2029 sub-panel for Architecture, Built Environment and Planning.
