Co-opted Trustee – Digital Transformation
RTPI Board of Trustees
Voluntary role
The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is looking for a co-opted Trustee with experience in IT implementation and Digital Transformation to join the RTPI’s Board of Trustees.
The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) champions the power of planning in creating prosperous places and vibrant communities. We represent over 27,000 members worldwide, supporting them throughout their careers. We shape planning policy, raise professional standards and are the only body in the UK to confer Chartered status to planners, the highest professional qualification.
As a Co-opted Member on the RTPI Board of Trustees (BOT) you will be responsible for the management of the affairs of the Institute and promoting its charitable objects, together with the other members of the BOT. The members of the BOT are the trustees of the RTPI, a registered charity. This means that trustees must follow the law and the rules in the RTPI’s governing documents; act responsibly and only in the interests of the charity; use reasonable care and skill and make well-informed decisions, taking advice when needed.
The successful candidate will have experience in project development, IT implementation and digital transformation and ideally will have experience in a similar voluntary role and a good understanding of the professional membership body context.
RTPI has a positive, supportive and inclusive work environment which actively operates a policy of helping its employees at all levels to achieve professional growth. We seek to foster a collaborative and respectful work environment which promotes equity, diversity and inclusion.
