Transport Scotland A9 Dualling

An ELBF Chapter and SYPN Event

Thursday, 19 June 2014 at 5:30PM - 8:00PM
B&B Edinburgh, 3 Rothesay Terrace, Edinburgh, EH3 7RY
RTPI Scotland

This event is brought to you by the Edinburgh, Lothians, Borders and Fife Chapter in conjunction with the Scottish Young Planners' Network

The A9 Dualling project is the biggest ever transport project to be undertaken in Scotland and will cost £3bn by its completion in 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to come along and hear from Transport Scotland about the challenges in delivering a national infrastructure scheme.

The project is designed to deliver economic growth through improvements to road safety, journey times as well as better links to pedestrians, cycling and public transport facilities. Dualling the A9 will also provide greater access to the many tourism and recreation sites along the route of Scotland’s longest trunk road.

Representatives from Transport Scotland who will be presenting include:

  • Jo Blewett - A9 Dualling Programme Manager,
  • Yvette Sheppard - Environmental and Sustainability Manager, and
  • Alison Irvine, Head of Technical Analysis.

Sandwiches and teas&coffees will be provided.

This event is free, but places are limited. Please email to reserve a place.
