Well-designed places can be achieved by taking a proactive and collaborative approach at all stages of the planning process, from policy and plan formulation through to the determination of planning applications and the post approval stage. Design influences the quality of our experience as we spend time in them and move around them, hence input from the communities who intend to use the space is important.
