The Wales Planning Conference is Wales’ primary annual Conference to discuss all issues related to planning. The 2024 Conference's theme will be "Planning a Decarbonised and Resilient Future".

Planners have an essential role to play in tackling climate change.  One of the key ways we can ensure a resilient future is by decarbonisation. The Conference will discuss the impact planners can have in terms of where development is located, how modal shift can be supported, how planning can help reduce the carbon footprint of buildings, as well as decarbonising energy supply and construction.  From new build homes to retrofit, huge energy projects to sustainable tourism and heritage buildings, the Conference will explore how planning can help stop the platform from burning.

Keep an eye on our dedicated webpage which will be regularly updated.
