Course Aim

With the Government’s attention fixed firmly on the delivery of more housing, waste management is an important consideration on the planning agenda for local authorities, consultancies and inspectors alike.  New homes and economic growth will have implications for waste planning. This briefing provides you with an overview of the industry perspectives around waste growth, forecasting, site deliverability and sustainability.

Through a combination of input from expert speakers and discussion, you will:

  • Hear about key legal updates and understand the policy implications
  • Gain knowledge into the role of planners in bringing forward waste developments
  • Learn from the experience of others with regard to recent plan preparation issues and waste management challenges
