Nick is an associate head of department in Geography and Environmental Management and leads the UWE Bristol Planning School. Prior to joining the university in 2007, Nick worked
at Terence O'Rourke in Bournemouth. He has research interests in strategic planning and the delivery of infrastructure and has recently co-edited an international handbook on green infrastructure. He is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and served as south west chair in 2013. He is also a member of the Town and Country Planning Association and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He is passionate about geography and planning and is involved in a series of initiatives to promote planning and the profession. Nick is a Future Planners' ambassador and led a schools' competition for the region during 2014/15
