Katie is a planning  officer within the Strategic Growth team at Plymouth City Council, where she enjoys dealing with complex but rewarding strategic developments within the city centre and waterfront areas of Plymouth. She started as a trainee planning officer at West Devon Borough Council in 2005, leaving in 2013 as a senior planning officer.

Having graduated with a Town and Country Planning Masters in 2009 from UWE, she worked towards her chartered membership of the RTPI in 2012. She has subsequently also achieved a PgDip in Architectural Conservation in 2011.

Katie started volunteering with PAE in 2012, by supporting Neighbourhood Planning workshop events. In 2016 the opportunity to become more involved in in the organisation of PAE arose, and subsequently Katie was part of the first task group representing PAE in the southwest, and has remained on the task group ever since. Now as a joint representative of PAE in the SW, this introduced  Katie to the Regional Action Committee and has led to her current position on the RAC, and has been a member since 2018.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys singing with two choirs, and is proud to have performed in Carnegie Hall New York and Winchester Cathedral.
