David Webb

Dave Webb is a lecturer in town planning at Newcastle University. After qualifying in planning, at Newcastle, he worked at Newcastle City Council for five years before returning to Newcastle University to do a PhD focusing on housing market renewal. He has a continued research interest in urban policy and governance and has encompassed related issues from fairness to localism and activism. Dave was a contributor to the 2016 edition of Town and Country Planning in the UK and was also involved in the project 'engaging youth in cultural heritage' which explored the campaign to save the undercroft skating area on London's South Bank. He also works with Greening Wingrove, a community co-operative covering the Wingrove area in the west end of Newcastle.
