Join the Dorset Young Planners for our autumn CPD event followed by dinner and informal networking.

Climate Change is at the top of the agenda for councils across the UK with many having declared climate emergencies and set ambitious targets to reduce carbon emissions. Transport is a key contributing factor to emissions and therefore as young planners we must understand more about how we can plan to travel more sustainably.

Inspired by the implementation of Beryl bikes across Bournemouth and Poole, Dorset Young Planners have organised this sustainable transport CPD event.

The event will start with an optional tour on Beryl Bikes followed by presentations from a selection of speakers including Martin Jolly (Beryl Field Operations Manager) who will talk about Beryl and sustainable transport, Richard Pearson (BCP Council) who will present on the impact of a £100m cycle intervention in London and Chris Holdup (Mode Transport Planning) will round off by discussing the future of transport and its implications for planning.

We will finish the evening by heading into Bournemouth for dinner (included in ticket price) and informal networking.
