How to register

To volunteer for Planning Aid England you will need to complete our online application form.  

PLEASE NOTE: From 5th February to 11th March 2019 volunteer registration is closed whist the RTPI makes some changes to its internal database and systems in order to streamline processes and improve online security.

To volunteer for Planning Aid England, you must first be a member of the RTPI. If you are not currently a member, please visit the Membership pages further information about joining the Institute including details of all membership classes.

What happens next

Once we have processed your completed registration form (which takes approximately 3 weeks from receipt), you will receive confirmation details via email together with the RTPI and PAE volunteer handbooks. The handbooks contains information on all aspects of being a Planning Aid England volunteer, such as:

  • The volunteer code
  • Best practice and guidelines
  • Insurance
  • Keeping in touch
  • Useful resources

You will also receive details of your key PAE contact who will advise you further on relevant, local opportunities. Please note, we can only process fully completed registration forms.
