How to register

Volunteer registration is now closed whilst we conduct our biennial volunteer review.  It will re-open in Autumn 2019.  If you would like to be notified when registration re-opens, please email us and inlcude 'volunteer registration Autumn 2019' in the subject line. 

To volunteer for Planning Aid England, you must first be a member of the RTPI. If you are not currently a member, please visit the Membership pages further information about joining the Institute including details of all membership classes.

What happens next

Once we have processed your completed registration form (which takes approximately 3 weeks from receipt), you will receive confirmation details via email together with the RTPI and PAE volunteer handbooks. The handbooks contains information on all aspects of being a Planning Aid England volunteer, such as:

  • Benefits of volunteering
  • The volunteer code
  • Best practice and guidelines
  • Insurance
  • Keeping in touch
  • Useful resources

You will also receive details of your key PAE contact who will advise you further on relevant, local opportunities. Please note, we can only process fully completed registration forms.
