Ways of working

PAE has been working supporting communities in planning, and supporting organisations engaged in planning with communities for over 40 years.   Our services are guided by the following practice:

Being collaborative and supportive

We aim to understand your needs and always try to address them in relation to planning.

Being clear and knowledge

We aim to explain what is and what isn't possible in relation to planning.

Being innovative

We use good practice and case studies to get the right messages across and broker outcomes.

The work of PAE is supported by over 300 dedicated volunteers.  All out volunteers are members of the RTPI and are expected to act in accordance with the RTPI and are expected to act in accordance with the RTPI Volunteer Code.

Most volunteers are in full time employment and work in local government, private practice or in academia.

Every volunteer who gives advice is an experienced, Chartered town planner and we seek to ensure they have the necessary skills, knowledge and expertise to assist.

Volunteers are indemnified (insured) for the advice they give.
