The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is pleased to announce that it has appointed RSK Environment Ltd to prepare a Climate Impact Assessment for the Institute.
RSK will also produce an ‘action plan’, outlining ways the RTPI can reduce its carbon footprint.

The announcement follows an open tender process inviting consultancies to tender to undertake an assessment of how the RTPI can mitigate its impact on climate and become more sustainable.
RSK is a multi-disciplinary environmental and engineering consultancy which provides world-leading and well-respected greenhouse gas accounting and reporting expertise. This forms part of a wide range of mitigation and adaptation services to optimise the climate resilience of their clients.

RSK will start work on the assessment phase of the project immediately with initial consultation and data collection taking place throughout June. Stakeholder workshops and action planning will take place in July and the project will conclude with the publication of the Action Plan summary in August 2020.
The climate impact assessment and action plan are among a range of measures related to climate change which the RTPI committed to in its Corporate Strategy 2020-2030, launched earlier this year.
