Dorset Young Planners are excited to invite you to join us for our February CPD & networking event. Four fantastic speakers will join us to discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with the Climate Emergency - a key consideration for planners today. Nick Squirrel is the Conservation & Planning Advisor at Natural England. He will provide a presentation on nitrate neutrality and explain how measures can be used to mitigate the impact of new development on the ecosystem. Cllr Ray Bryan is the Portfolio Holder for Highways, Travel and Environment and Chair for The Climate Change Executive Advisory Panel at Dorset Council. He will explain how the Council has responded to the issue.
We will also hear from
Malcolm Anderson from T he National Trust who will outline how they are responding to the climate emergency. Our final speaker is Rob Asquith from Savills who will explain how the national consultancy is advising clients on this vital issue. The event will be followed by pizza & networking at a local restaurant (included in the ticket price)
