The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), the Home Builders Federation (HBF), and the British Property Federation (BPF) invite you to join us at Labour Conference to hear from our expert panel and contribute to a debate on how we deliver housing for sustainable communities.
The future of UK housing: building sustainable communities
Planners, home builders, and real estate owners need to work together to tackle the housing crisis now and deliver the sustainable communities of the future.
A collaborative approach will be key to overcome the challenges of building more homes (and more types and tenures of home), of high quality, with appropriate infrastructure, to create communities that are economically and environmentally sustainable.
At the Labour Party Conference this year, the RTPI, HBF, and BPF are holding a panel discussion to explore solutions to these challenges and the opportunities for collaboration to secure the future of UK housing.
The discussion will be chaired by Helen Hayes MP (invited) and will examine what is already being done and what more can be done by government, planners, home builders, and property owners to build the homes required to tackle the housing crisis.
Speakers include:
Peter Andrew (Deputy Chairman – HBF)
Melanie Leech (Chief Executive – BPF)
Sue Manns (Vice President – RTPI)
Cllr Sachin Shah (Planning Committee – Harrow Council)
Refeshments will be served.
