Quartermile is one of the largest and most comprehensive regeneration schemes in Scotland. Formerly the home of the historic Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, the 8-hectare site is located within a conservation area on Edinburgh’s Victorian fringes and includes nine listed buildings. Quartermile celebrates the creation of a successful and sustainable, mixed-use urban community. This walking tour will provide the opportunity to learn about the importance of Placemaking in creating a new mixed use urban neighbourhood, as well as dealing with heritage assets and numerous stakeholders.

Meet at Lister Square, Edinburgh.
