From Neighbourhood Planning, Planning Applications and preparing Local Plans, the way that planners engage and involve local communities has never been more important. This session will focus on the role of planners in working with communities to plan for places through plan-making (Local Plans, Neighbourhood Plans, Masterplanning) and through the planning application process. The event will feature a range of diverse and engaging speakers talking about best practice and key challenges from 'on the ground' experience including a Planner, Professional Facilitator and a Neighbourhood Forum Chairman. There will be a practical, interactive session which will involve the use of technology to engage the attendees.
