Becoming a chartered town planner gives you a mark of professional competency at a time when being at the top of your game has never been more important. But more than that. RTPI membership is the key to greater professional confidence, staff retention, innovation and up-to-date sector intelligence. It also brings you closer to a great network of other planners and a source of support and knowledge sharing that will last for the rest of your career.
This workshop will explain the routes to membership, clearly and simply. You will learn how to prepare and what to submit, whatever your qualifications and experience.
The session will be led by Deborah Baker Barnett, who has worked for both the public and private sectors and is actively engaged with the RTPI including its North West Regional Activities Committee. She has been an assessor for four years and sits on the RTPI’s membership advisory panel, which oversees routes to membership. You’ll also hear from recently chartered public sector planners who will share their experience.
