Wednesday, 13 March 2019 at 6:00PM - 7:30PM
Sheffield Hallam University City Campus, Howard Street, S1 1WB
RTPI Yorkshire

Join the RTPI Yorkshire Young Planners at Sheffield Hallam University for a talk by Roland Bolton of DLP Planning and Research on Standard Methodology, Land Supply and Local Plan Preparation.

Roland has more than 30 years planning experience in both local authorites and consultancies, as well as lecturing at Sheffield Hallam University.

His experience includes the successful promotion of strategic development proposals through the planning process, the production of Development Plans, the presentation of evidence at Development Plan Examinations and at Planning Appeal Public Inquiries and Development Management.

The talk will touch on various sides of Strategic Planning including Standard Methodology and how local housing need is calculated, the importance of land supply and how consultancies can prepare and submit representations during the Local Plan production, as well as how Local Plans could allocate and deliver the housing the country needs.

This talk will be useful to Young Planners who have limited exposure to strategic elements of planning and for those that wish to further supplement their existing knowledge. Helpful to both private and public sector young planners.

The event is free and refreshments will be provided.
