The UK is facing significant challenges in terms of the health of the nation and the impact that has on wellbeing and quality of life. This event will explore how planning can deliver better health outcomes through changes to the design and layout of new development to encourage physical activity and active travel.   The seminar will share current best practice in urban design and planning policy.  This event is sponsored by Sport England who will speak about their Active Design guidance (published jointly with Public Health England) and share case studies from across the country.
