Course Aim

There is now a significant and growing body of experience on the delivery of neighbourhood planning to learn from in this briefing. It will provide an overview of how legislation and policy has evolved particularly in the last couple of years, as well as exploring “lessons learnt” from experience to date and how to engage with groups effectively for win-win outcomes.

Through a combination of input from expert speakers and discussion, you will:

  • Learn about how evolving legislation and policy has affected both the purpose and delivery of neighbourhood planning  
  • Understand “lessons learnt” from experience to date through a series of good practice case studies on preparation as well as implementation
  • Gain insight into the variety of approaches to effective community engagement and where to go to for further support

To be eligible for the Independent Consultant rate, you need to be member of the Independent Consultants Network (ICN).
