Join the Devon & Cornwall Young Planners for a tour of the historic Melville Building at the Royal William Yard!

SAM_0867The Grade 1 listed Melville Building is the centre piece of the former naval Victualling Yard.  It is one of the last buildings in the yard to be converted.  This tour offers you the opportunity to see this heritage asset prior to its redevelopment and to gain an understanding of the planning issues and balances in ensuring its future use.

The architects behind the scheme (the award winning Gillespie Yunnie Architects) have kindly offered to show us around and we will also be joined by the case officer from the city council who has been involved in the detailed negotiations for the planning application.

There will be an opportunity for a drink and networking after the tour has finished.

This tour is free and places are limited.

Date: 13th September

Time: 3:00pm – 5:00pm

Meet: by the white cows on the green
