As we plan for new homes in London, in those locations where there is no opportunity to provide onsite sport and recreation facilities to support new housing development, how can we ensure that Londoners can still take part in sport and physical activity and stay healthy?

This seminar will look at what policy guidance there is available to help design more active environments, including Sport England's Active Design guidance and the London Mayor's Supplementary Planning Guidance - Play and Informal recreation.

Sport England will speak about Active Design guidance and how to incorporate opportunities for physical activitywithin new development.

This event is free and open to all those who work or study in planning and related built environment professions. However, if demand is high, preference will be given to RTPI members.

Places are strictly limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Should you have a place confirmed and cannot attend the event please let us know so that your place can be reallocated.
