This conference will explore how strategic planning decisions have been made in the combined authorities and whether this represents a return to regional spatial planning by the back door. Given the trends to cross boundary consultation on housing needs assessment and the operation of economic and labour market areas, we will consider what relevance this has for planners and maintaining community engagement and involvement.
This conference is organised by RTPI Yorkshire on behalf of the RTPI Yorkshire Conference Series Partnership.
