UK 2070, the  New Urban Agenda and the challenges of spatial inequality globally and  locally.

This year's Planning Futures Lecture, once again hosted by the University of Reading, will be delivered by Trudi Elliott CBE MRTPI, Visiting Professor at University of Reading.

Global concern over inequality has been indicated in the  key reports and  agendas produced in recent years. How can we respond effectively to the challenge to reduce inequality and what role can planning play in this? Trudi will explore these themes in the lecture, given her close involvement with the UK 2070 commission and experience of planning in different posts at various scales and times.
