Planning Ahead for the Resilient and Inclusive City

Scotland in the 21st Century faces serious challenges. How do we ensure the continued resilience of our towns, cities and landscapes when faced with the implications of climate change? How do we do all of this while still keeping Scotland open for inclusive economic growth?

Experienced in looking at the big picture and working towards goals in the long term, Planners are ideally placed to meet these challenges, but we cannot do it alone. This event, organised in partnership with Policy Scotland, aims to bring together a network of urbanists  in a constructive discussion about how we introduce the concepts of urban resilience and inclusive economic growth into day to day practice in planning and beyond.

The event will include presentations by speakers including Dr Duncan Booker, Chief Resilience Officer, Glasgow City Council as well as a panel of discussants from senior positions in planning practice. Complimentary tea and coffee will be served.
