RTPI South East
John Hearn will present on Contextual design: Landscape Architects, Planners and Urban Designers working together.

"The most successful designs can often be where landscape is part of the form of any development - so that it has equal status to that of built form and equally has a function of encloses and defines spaces and ensuring development fits in and enhances the area. Well considered hard and soft landscape design is a vital component of successful contextual design. Sometime development is compromised by landscaping which is designed at a later stage. Landscape architects and urban designers have a dual role and should be there working together right from concept stage." John Hearn. John will focus on large urban and suburban developments and will show examples of successful and not so successful developments.
